Herbert Amanya Ministries is a non-profit, faith-based organisation built on a passionate commitment to Christ. Founded in 2020, in Lyantonde District in Uganda, Herbert Amanya Ministries believes in a world where every child has access to quality education.
Our education program allows children from vulnerable families to have the opportunity to go to school. Most families in Lyantonde District live below a dollar a day and parents cannot afford the cost of sending their children to school and consequently, most children miss out on receiving an education.
We believe that education is vital in breaking the cycle of poverty. By supporting and allowing vulnerable children to have access to quality education, we are enabling the next generation of Uganda to have a solid start in their lives through education so that they can realise their full potential.

The Founder
Pastor Herbert Amanya
“When I was a child, I walked very long distances to go to school and I saw how my parents struggled and how many of my peers dropped out of school, that’s why putting children through school is a very important aspect of the ministry.’’
Pastor Herbert was born in Lyantonde District, growing up, he witnessed first-hand the effects of poverty in his community. He saw his friends drop out of school due to lack of school fees. However, he also saw the potential that access to quality education could have in changing lives, breaking the cycle of poverty and positively transforming his community.
In 2019 Pastor Hebert decided to be the change he wanted to see in his community. Now, he dedicates his time to transforming the lives of vulnerable children in his community by ensuring that they no longer have to drop out of school due to lack of school fees.
