How lives have been changed.

Meet Ronnie
“When I grow up I want to become a doctor”
After his dad passed on, Ronnie’s mum could not afford to pay for his tuition while at the same time look after, and provide for Ronnie’s eight other siblings. Ronnie had to drop out of school due to lack of tuition.
“I had to drop out of school. I missed two academic terms, I cried every night, seeing my friends go to school every day made me feel sad.”
Herbert Amanya Ministries enrolled Ronnie in a nearby school and fully paid for his tuition for 2 years till he completed his primary school studies. He has just completed his primary school and is looking forward to joining a secondary school to continue with his studies.
“I am proud that my son has finished his primary school studies. Were it not for Pastor Herbater’s help, I do not know what he would be doing right now,” Ronnie’s mother shared with us.
Ronnie is looking forward to joining secondary school. “My dream is to finish secondary school and study at an American University so I can become a doctor.”
Mary is a single mum with 3 children she is also fostering 2 of her late brother’s children. Here is her story…
“Pastor Herbert Amanya Ministries’ is helping me pay school fees for two of my children. Elijah my second born and Praise, my brother’s daughter. I love seeing them go to school and receiving their report cards at the end of each term.”
“Before I got the support, I could not afford to pay school fees for my children, they would stay at home for lack of school fees and it would make me sad.” “I want my children to receive an education so that they can realise their dreams and be successful.”
I have been able to make some savings because of the Pastor Herbert Amanya Ministries bursary scheme. I started a piggery project and have since bought four pigs that I hope to sell. With the proceeds, I am planning to buy a cow. I have also started a small tailoring business that is helping me take care of my family. In two to three years I will be self-sustaining. I will be able to pay schools fees for my children.”

Meet Ian
My name is Ian, I am 13 years old and live with my parents. I have 4 siblings. I also have an Aunt, Tina who lives nearby in Lyantonde, an Uncle and other relatives. Generally, I am happy when I am home with my parents. My parents sometimes get angry at each other but they sort it. Although it makes me sad.
I was in P5 and had been promoted to P6 in another school but my father couldn’t afford fees. In the middle of the term, I was called by the Director who had spoken to my Dad. I was happy when I was transferred because Lyantonde Public Primary School was my dream school, my sister had studied here and I had heard amazing stories about it. This school was better than the one I was in
I hope to get 6 aggregates. Thank you for paying my fees if it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t have him I wouldn’t have sat my PLE. He gives us food and essentials that we need to take home too.
Rukundo Hamida, a 13 year old, born in Karubanda, Masha sub county, Isingiro District. At the age of 7, her mother left her with her two young siblings. Hamida’s father was a casual worker but alcoholic. The alcoholism prevented him from adequately caring for his family. As a result, Hamida was forced to become the primary care giver for her siblings and father .
In 2019, Hamida approached the director of God’s care primary school seeking educational assistance. Following their conversation she was admitted into school. In 2020, the school director visited Hamida’s home only to find that the house was too old, about to fall down and with holes. He realized that the children’s lives were greatly at risk from animals, intruders and bad weather.
The Director approached Pastor Herbert Amanya and narrated Hamida’s ordeal. He was touched and paid a visit to Hamida and her siblings. He could not hold back the tears in his eyes and the pain in his heart.
In Jan 2020, the construction of the children’s house began. Its a 4 bed-roomed house with a kitchen, bathroom and toilet . The house has a commercial room so that the father is able to start up a business to enable him provide for his family’s daily needs.
